My name is Mathilde Guignard and I am a French citizen. This will be my second year at teaching French at AIS. I have a PGCE from the University of Cumbria in England, a Master degree in French as a Foreign language from University of Nanterre and a Master in Sciences of Education from University Lumière Lyon as well as different trainings.
I have had different experiences at teaching French as I worked in England, Ethiopia, Morocco in public, language schools and tutoring. Last year I taught at AIS and three years ago at the University of Languages and at the Alliance Française of Shkodra where I worked with children.
I am very glad and enthusiastic to have the chance to carry on teaching at AIS, with former and new students. In my class I like to offer different activities and I enjoy creating my own materials. As students are not many in each class they really have the opportunity to practice the language and French is the only one allowed in class. I like to focus my work in the four skills – speaking, writing, listening and reading – and plan ahead to ensure a progression. I am very pleased to be part of the AIS team again and I am looking forward to starting this new academic year.
