     The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) has approved the Albanian International School (AIS) as a WASC candidate school. After our successful site visit to begin the 2018-2019 school year, status was granted on 5 February 2019 making AIS the only WASC candidate school in the Balkans. As a small, private school this is a great achievement that showcases the hard work of the AIS community of parents and educators.
Candidacy is defined as,” The institution must demonstrate that it meets all, or nearly all, of the Standards at a minimum level and has a clear plan in place to meet the Standards at a substantial level of compliance for accreditation”.
AIS would like to extend our deep appreciation to our parents for their trust, support, and patience as we continue transforming our school into the most transparent and academically rigorous private school in Tirana. The future looks bright for our AIS students!
