My name is Mark Fraley and I consider it an absolute privilege to be involved in the education of preschool children; I love this age group and watching young minds grow. I was born in Kansas City, MO, USA, but moved to France, just outside of Paris with my family when I was one year old. Most of my schooling was done in French public schools. I returned to the USA for my senior year of high school and then attended MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS, where I earned a B.A. in physical education. Then I attended Kansas University in Lawrence, KS, for graduate school and earned my Masters in Early Childhood Special Education. I have worked for 15 years teaching preschool in a variety of settings, working with both special education students and typically developing students. I was honored to be the featured teacher in the early childhood chapter for two years in a row in the textbook “Exceptional Children”, published by Pearson and edited by William L. Heward. I have also written and illustrated a personal memoir, “Creation of Calm: a Cancer Survivor’s Sketchbook Story”, published through Cladach Publishing. I have been married for 17 years. I am the proud father of three children, two boys the ages of 11 and 9, and one girl the age of 5. My wife is also a teacher, and she works with adults who are learning English.
